St. David’s is blessed by dedicated individuals who volunteer to serve God and the church before, during, and after services.
Acolytes serve during church services.
Torchbearers carry the candles during the processions and the crucifer carries the cross.
Youth and adults are welcome to be acolytes.
Altar Guild is a dedicated group of individuals who join together for God’s work, camaraderie, and a feeling of spiritual fulfillment.
The group prepares the chancel and altar and assists the clergy in many ways.
Counters count the Sunday offering after the 10:30 a.m. service in teams of two. Typically serve once every six weeks.
Flower Guild picks up and arranges the two chancel flower arrangements for Sundays and special services such as funerals and weddings as requested.
Guild members deliver flowers from the arrangements to parishioners as specified by the rector.
Lectors are parishioners who are trained to read the lessons during worship services.
LEMs are parishioners who are trained to read the lessons and assist with the Holy Eucharist during worship services.
Ushers assist with worship services by handing out the bulletin before services, circulating the alms bags at the offertory, delivering the elements and the alms to the priest after the offertory, and assisting parishioners at Eucharist.
Anyone interested in serving in any of these lay ministries should contact the church office.
