Join Us

You will find that St. David’s is a dynamic spirit-filled parish and we would love to have you join us and support our mission with your time, talent and treasure.

In return, through our services, ministries, and fellowship opportunities, we will challenge you spiritually and intellectually asking you to stretch your boundaries in loving and serving our Lord.

Worship is our highest calling as Christians and we take it very seriously at St. David’s. We are strict adherers to the Book of Common Prayer using Rite II for Holy Eucharist. The 8 a.m. Sunday service is quiet and contemplative without music. At the 10:30 service from Rally Day to Pentecost we benefit from an all volunteer choir who blend their voices with the lusty singing of the congregation.

Becoming a Member

St. David’s welcomes you whether you are new to the faith or a lifetime Episcopalian. Members are expected to help the Church carry out its mission of restoring all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. To become a member, the following questions and answers may help you decide about joining:

I’ve never belonged to any church before. How do I become a member of St. David’s?

You must be baptized to become a member of any Episcopal Church, including St. David’s. If you have never been baptized, please contact one of the clergy at 615-352-0293 or send an email to make the necessary arrangements.

I’ve been baptized in a church other than an Episcopal Church. How do I become a member of St. David’s?
Call one of the clergy at 615-352-0293 or send an email. You do not need to be baptized again. After we receive a record of your baptism from your former congregation, you will be able able to participate in all programs and ministries. You will not be eligible to serve the parish in an elected position (on the Vestry or in a diocesan office) until you are confirmed.

If I am a member of another Episcopal Church, how do I become a member of St. David’s?
If you belong to a church in the greater Metropolitan Nashville area, simply call the priest or parish office of your former congregation and request an official Letter of Transfer to St. David’s. If your former congregation is out of town, call one of the clergy at 615-352-0293 or send an email, and we will request your Letter of Transfer for you.
