St. David’s was founded as a parochial mission of St. George’s in 1963 by a group of families who had a vision for a parish with a strong commitment to the worship of Almighty God, local outreach, and a supportive Christian community.
More than 50 years later, St. David’s continues that vision, and our location and size make us a unique Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Tennessee. We invite you to join our welcoming, inclusive, vital parish with an exciting future.
Within our walls, we have created a place for all to worship, learn, serve, and prepare to go out into the world to love and serve our Lord. St. David’s has sent many of its own into the ordained ministry. Among them are: Don E. Johnson, Harold Hallock, Anne Bonneyman, Mary Jane Levitch, Mary C. Robert (daughter of the Rev. Frank W. Robert), and Donna J. Scott.
Over the years a variety of men and women have been a part of this parish, and regardless of the length of tenure, all have been a part of making us who we are today. We have been blessed with excellent leadership, devoted pastoral care, outstanding preaching, inspired teaching, and dedicated lay participation. (You also can read St. David’s full history here.)
The future looms bright, and with God’s continued help, we are prepared to meet it.
