|Join us via Zoom for a conversation about how we can actively work to dismantle features of systemic racism right here in Nashville. Allen Hovious, a member of the Vestry, has been working with a local social movement in North Nashville that is working to empower residents of the Andrew Jackson Court community. His findings have yielded some eyebrow raising reflections about how our city government perpetuates both inequalities and inequities for African Americans in the city.|
After Allen delivers his findings, we will break out into “Zoom rooms” to brainstorm some ideas of how we might generate some activity that will bring focus to these institutions and seek to empower them to change for the better. Then we will come back together to discuss our findings, and hopefully, develop a plan of action.
A Zoom link will go out on Sunday morning, September 20.
